Prior to her arrival as the Curate of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the Reverend Leandra T. Lambert was the Executive Assistant to the Director of Anglican Relations at Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City. In 2011, she graduated from Wellesley College (Wellesley, MA) with a Bachelor's degree in both Classical Civilization and Political Science. After graduation, she worked with the Communications and Marketing Team at The Redwoods Group in Morrisville, North Carolina.
Reverend Leandra earned a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School (Cambridge, MA), with a thesis titled “Sign, Symbol and Sacrament: Eucharistic Ethics and the Israel–Palestine Conflict.“
Reverend Leandra was named the Union of Black Episcopalians’ 2017 Young Adult of the Year. Earlier this year, she received a Citation from Brooklyn’s 43rd Assembly District for service to the community and the State of New York. She previously served as a Deacon at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Brooklyn, NY.
