Charles Riggi, Nominated for 3 year term (2024):
I’m Charles Riggi, if you don’t know me. Michele and I got married in St. Peter's Chapel in 2000. I attend weekly services at St. Luke's and St. Peter's. Before retiring, I was a software engineer and was involved in civic and political boards and organizations. I am a Eucharistic Minister and Lector, Chair of the Altar Guild, a Verger, a Vestry member filling an unexpired term, and participate in other activities at St. Luke's. I am a graduate of Education for Ministry and a member of the Vergers Guild of the Episcopal Church.
Tina Giles, Nominated for 2 year term (2023).
Tina Giles, born and raised in East Hampton, grew up at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She was baptized, confirmed, and married here at St. Luke’s. Tina has been actively involved with the Outreach Committee and as a member of the St. Luke’s 2030 Strategic Planning Committee. She oversees “Laundry Love” and finds great enjoyment volunteering at our annual church fair and other well-attended church functions. In 2014, Tina retired from the East Hampton Town Police Department, having served as a police officer and detective for 28 years. Tina is married to Louis O’Neal; they have two adult daughters, Myra and Raya, who were also raised in St. Luke’s. COVID-19 has made it difficult in many ways for our St. Luke’s church family. In spite of this, Tina has a strong sense of faith and trusts that we shall continue to overcome this pandemic. She is eager to begin her service on the vestry and is poised and ready to seek and develop innovative ideas that coincide with the changing times; to bring our church family together.
Mark Nelson, Nominated for 3 year term (2024)
When we became weekenders in East Hampton in 2003 we attended other churches in the area, but immediately felt at home at St. Luke’s. The congregation was welcoming and diverse, but most importantly it lives and breathes the teachings of Christ through outreach, community support, and helping those who need it most. My partner, Anthony Rosina, and I live in East Hampton with our rescue mutt Jenny, and I am currently employed as the senior legal counsel for Wilmington Trust as well as a former CPA. I am honored to be considered for the Vestry, and look forward to helping St Luke’s fulfill its Christian mission.
John Hadden, Nominated for Treasurer, 3–year term ending in 2024.
I moved my affiliation from St. John’s Episcopal Church of Cold Spring Harbor, where our family were members for over a century, to St. Luke’s in 2012, soon after we chose East Hampton as our family’s weekend and summer refuge from NYC. St. Luke’s has provided wonderful fellowship and great spiritual support, particularly around the passing of my parents, where Father Denis co-officiated at their respective memorial services. I served on St. Luke’s Stewardship Committee between 2014 and 2017, and on the Finance and Investment Committee since 2018. I was asked to assume the role of Treasurer, which I look forward to with great enthusiasm, if elected. Father Denis invigorated this parish and helped it to blossom into the most vibrant on Long Island. We all share a stewardship obligation for its important work and must ensure that it continues to flourish and grow. I commit to doing my part by keeping a steady hand on the rudder. Professionally, my first career was as an investment banker and venture investor at JP Morgan and for the last 23+ years, as a biotech entrepreneur, primarily in immuno-oncology. My wife, Amie and I have three children: Johnny (15), Cole (13), and Paige (9).
Lynn Czarnecki, Nominated for Two-year unexpired term (until 2023). I was born in Amagansett to Joseph and Patricia LaCarrubba and now live in East Hampton with my husband James Czarnecki and two daughters Jillian and Cassady. I have been a cosmetologist for over 30 years and have had my own salon for 21 years. Our family joined St Luke’s about 7 years ago and we love being apart of such a loving church community and I am looking forward to my term on the vestry.
