Parish Volunteering

Within the congregation of St. Luke's there is a collection of individuals who gather together to fulfill the needs of the congregation. St. Luke's Guild began as a social group and evolved into a charitable group, meeting every first Wednesday of the month. The function of the Guild is to generate awareness to the needs of the general community and help raise the funds through annual events to address those needs.

In addition to St. Luke's Guild is the Altar Guild, composed of members instructed in the preparation of linens and silver for the altar on the occasions of communion, baptism, funerals and holy days. Ushers and greeters offer warmth to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and new members, personally inviting them to coffee hour and introducing them to other parishioners. Other ministries include:

  • Flower Delivery to Home Bound
  • Hospital & Home Visitation
  • Choir
  • Bible Study
  • Sunday School
  • Acolyte
  • Eucharistic Minister
  • Youth Ministry
  • Office Assistance
  • Transportation Assistance
  • Grounds Care Committee
